FSTest Tetracyclines Rapid Test Kit
Product Overview
The FSTest™ Tetracyclines Rapid Test Kit (Colloidal Gold) is based on a competitive inhibition immunochromatography assay designed for the qualitative detection of tetracycline residues in muscle tissue samples such as fish, shrimp, chicken, pork, and beef. Utilizing pre-coated recombinant antigens, the test cassette provides rapid, visual, and reliable results directly observed by the naked eye without requiring complex laboratory equipment.
Key Benefits
· Broad Family Screening: Detects major tetracycline antibiotics (Tetracycline, Chlortetracycline, Oxytetracycline, and Doxycycline) simultaneously.
· Rapid On-Site Workflow: Ultra-fast sample extraction and reaction with visual result interpretation in just 8–10 minutes.
· High Specificity & No Cross-Reactivity: Tested negative with 10 mg/L of chloramphenicol, florfenicol, ciprofloxacin, enrofloxacin, erythromycin, sulfadimethoxine, gentamicin, tylosin, and ceftiofur.
· Safe & Eco-Friendly: Extracting solution is safe, non-toxic, and user-friendly for field and lab environments.

Test Procedure
Step 1: Sample Preparation & Extraction
Grind and homogenize >100g representative sample. Weigh 1.0g homogenized sample into a 15mL centrifuge tube. Add 5mL Extracting Solution, re-cap tightly, and vigorously shake for 2 minutes.
Step 2: Phase Separation
Let the tube stand for 2 minutes or centrifuge at 4000 rpm for 2 minutes. The resulting supernatant is ready for testing.
Step 3: Assay Execution & Reading
Ensure the cassette and solution are between 20–40°C. Pipette 100µL of the sample supernatant directly into the sample hole of the cassette. Read and interpret results after 8–10 minutes (results are invalid after 10 minutes).
Performance & Validation
Limits of Detection (LODs) for Target Tetracycline Compounds:
Tetracycline: 100μg/kg
Chlortetracycline: 100μg/kg
Oxytetracycline: 200μg/kg
Doxycycline: 200μg/kg
Result Interpretation:
· Negative (-): Both C (Control) line and T (Test) line appear.
· Positive (+): C line appears; T line does not appear (color intensity on T line is inversely proportional to tetracyclines concentration).
· Invalid: C line fails to appear, regardless of T line presence.
